I've excited for a lot of things this year, but one of the things near the top of my list is the movie adaption of Maurice Sendak's "Where the Wild Things Are". The film, from Spike Jonze, is due out in October in the USA, and it's poster was just released in Nick magazine. There are also rumors floating around that in less than two weeks a three minute trailer will play in front of Monsters Vs Aliens. The trailer has been screened, so even if it's not in front of Monsters Vs Aliens, we should be seeing it soon!
On to this poster, it shows Max screaming next to one of the Things (with his head cropped out of the photo) with the words "There's One in All Of Us" written across his chest. Check it out, along with some stills from the movie for those who haven't checked those out, below the jump.
Warner Brothers has released some great new Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince movie posters, in a high resolution format. We have three posters, one with Harry, one with Dumbledore, and my favorite with Harry and Dumbledore, sort of. You'll see what I mean. I love the little lightening bolts between the numbers seperating the dates. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince will be in US theatres July 17th. You can see the posters below the jump.
Legend of the Seeker has been renewed for a second season! Tribune Broadcasting stations have renewed the show, meaning it's cleared 35% of the united states, and 7/10 of the top markets for the 2009-2010 television year. At this point, Legend of the Seeker is getting an average 2.0 household rating, with lower averages after the winter break. This weekend we'll be watching epsiode 11 of Season 1 titled "Confession". We have some episode stills from ABC studios below the jump.
Chronicles of Narnia fans-the news you've been waiting for is here! Twentieth Century Fox is partnering with Walden Media for The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, the third Narnia fillm. To the dismay of fans everywhere, Disney dropped the film in late December and until now the future of Dawn Treader has been a question mark. One of the important question marks still left about the fate of this movie is its production schedule, which leads to what we all really want to know-when will we get to see it?
Lost's third episode of Season 5, Jughead, airs tonight on ABC. Season 5 premiered last week with it's first two episodes and got the Lost fan community excited to see what would happen next. If you're not in the mood to wait until tonight, we have three sneak peak videos under the read more link below. These videos are clips from tonight's episode, and are not to be watched if you're looking to avoid spoilers!
The bottom video is an interview with Evangeline Lilly (Kate) on David Letterman from last night (1/27). This interview is spoiler free and can be watched safely by everyone. Kate talks a bit about living in Hawaii and dealing with "vog".
