Yeah, a cubit is actually a form of measurement approximately the length of your forearm. The funny part is that I think I named him without knowing what the word meant, at least consciously.

Hmm... I have always loved the simplicity of the life of the Hobbits. Having an appreciation for a simple life and "good tilled earth" has just always appealed to me.
I created my dream character in my screenplay Misfit Odyssey. Xandria is a Woodland Guardian Fairy with supreme powers of shape shifting into her familiars. The owl is her favorite and she flies at night.
I would fly with rainbows and butterflies. I would send my song to the world high in the clouds to drift upon the peoples of this earth to change the thoughts to blues and greens and lavenders.
If you ask me, I'd go with dragon-blooded human. Let's face it, in most fantasy worlds, who but humans are crazy enough to actually go forth and slay the gods themselves? You add on to that the strength, intelligence, and durability associated with a draconic lineage, and you've got the winning combination to make the world burn.
I'm just saying, humans get things done. It doesn't matter what you're up against, it's human ambition that drives so much of fantasy. Elves are almost always living in a declining state, content to involve themselves only with strictly local matters. Dwarves tend to get a bit agoraphobic when forced to go outside. Halflings have a serious case of ADD. Orcs just don't have the intelligence to put together anything that might last. When the chips are down, it's generally humans who end up being the driving force in any major fantasy world, as their life spans are short enough that they don't have the time to wait out the ages for things to happen, so they do it themselves.
I have to admit I've always been drawn towards elven kind....more so the Elfquest type of elves, closer to animals and nature, rather than the cooler, more remote end elegant LOTR type of elves. I was active in Elfquest fandom for many years, and it sticks with me still. The flaws and quirks of the ordinary everyday wood elf rather than the perfection of the seelie or unseelie fae.

I have always wanted to be an elf ranger. They are as close to nature as it is possible to be. All nimble stealth and woodland knowledge. I'd range all the lands of the world and hate being within 50 miles of a city.
