Any Fantasy race/species/creature

If you could be any sort of fantasy character, what would you be? Dragon, Griffin, etc.

Permalink Reply by Teppesh on January 19, 2009 at 3:31am: I'm just saying, humans get things done. It doesn't matter what you're up against, it's human ambition that drives so much of fantasy. Elves are almost always living in a declining state, content to involve themselves only with strictly local matters. Dwarves tend to get a bit agoraphobic when forced to go outside. Halflings have a serious case of ADD. Orcs just don't have the intelligence to put together anything that might last. When the chips are down, it's generally humans who end up being the driving force in any major fantasy world, as their life spans are short enough that they don't have the time to wait out the ages for things to happen, so they do it themselves.; ▶ Reply to This

Permalink Reply by Teresa Arellanes on January 14, 2009 at 2:48pm: I have to admit I've always been drawn towards elven kind....more so the Elfquest type of elves, closer to animals and nature, rather than the cooler, more remote end elegant LOTR type of elves. I was active in Elfquest fandom for many years, and it sticks with me still. The flaws and quirks of the ordinary everyday wood elf rather than the perfection of the seelie or unseelie fae.
