We've obviously not been around too much lately, and it's time to jump back in, because a new Harry Potter movie has been out for weeks now and we MUST talk about it!

So, to get things started, what was your favorite part?

I wasn't sure at first but then my little sister brought it up: when Harry takes the luck potion. Fantastic.

I just watched it for a second time and I hope to see it a few more times before it leaves theaters. As for my favorite part.. it would have to be the cave scene. Though it was shorten it was exactly as I pictured it. When the inferi hand comes out of that water I must have jumped a mile out of my seat.. and what's funny is I knew that would happen.. but still great moment. I love the ring of fire that Dumbledore produces. Qudditch scenes were really good also.

The cave scene is one that always stuck with me from reading the books, and it's what I kept thinking about while I was waiting to see the movie. It was shorter, but I thought it was awesome, too. It was really close to how I'd pictured it, too-close enough that I watched the scene and said "wow" instead of "in the book they ____!"

I kept thinking "it's going to come out of the water, it's going to come out of the water..." and I still jumped! haha

The fire was bad ass. :)

I agree... The cave scene was just how I pictured it. My favorite parts were where they showed Draco. I think they did a really good job of showing his conflict.

I was disappointed in the last few scenes. My favorite part of the book was the Death Eaters attack from inside Hogwarts. It was so ingenious how they did it. I was really wanting to see the Death Eaters attack on Hagrid and Professor McGonagle. But they really abbreviated that whole sequence of events. So, I was a bit bummed by that. And the Ginny kiss was not as good as it could have been. It did show her personality from the book though... confident and a so-you-finally-figured-it-out kind of attitude.

Despite those two things, I really did love it. It was an excellent movie. Wasn't the young Tom Riddle creepy?

He was amazingly creepy! Way more creepy than I ever thought of him as being in the books.

I found it very hard to pick a favorite part since I thought the whole movie was so awsome. I have a friend that thought the movie was not that good because their was not that much action but I thought they did a fanominal job sticking to the book.
