Log lines

We are having a discussion about log lines over at my RWA chapter and it's been kind of fun to see what we come up with. They are the 25 word (give or take) pitches for stating what your book is about if you happen to meet an agent or editor at the bar or the elevator.

Your log line is very short and has 3 elements only.

a)Who is it about. Don't use character names, they don't tell anything. Ann Travers says nothing about who the book is about where sexy dentist does.

b)What does she want? goal

c)Why can't she have it. problem

That's it.

Here's what I came up with for my current WIP:

An outcast girl is just trying to get through high school without her former popular friends discovering she sees spirits, while keeping the ghost of the guy she killed from killing her.

What would yours be?
