E! Online released an exclusive announcement today that Dakota Fanning has been offered the role of Jane. No audition or anything. I think it is a good choice. For one thing she is an experienced professional and she has done fantasy/sci-fi with Push (which I can hardly wait to see.)
What do you guys think? Any other New Moon movie news you have heard?

I'm always impressed by Dakota Fanning, so I bet she can do it. I sort of think she can do any role, she always really impresses me, heh. Jane is a really important role, too-she's quite the creepy little lady!

I think Dakota Fanning would be pretty great as Jane. I'm still up in the air about Push though. The trailers make me think that the movie doesn't really offer anything new. It just feels like a rehash of anything where people have superpowers and such. *shrug* I dunno.

I haven't really heard any other New Moon news other than rumors that they are replacing the actor that plays Jacob, but I think that's doubtful.

Nope, they're not replacing Jacob anymore-that was a rumor a while back in large part because they took FOREVER to replace him, but Taylor Lautner will be playing Jacob. And he's passing the amount of weight they told him he had to gain to do it :)

I think you're silly. I think Push looks cool. :P

Bronson Pelletier will be in New Moon, but hasn't said what his role will be. He's young, and hasn't been in much of anything that most people will know. Here's his IMDB. He's Native American, so he'll probably be a werewolf. Picture of him on Twilight Lexicon here

Cool... the New Moon news is starting to trickle in. I've even started to hear Eclipse news. I think Eclipse is slated to show in June 2010. We'll have to start an Eclipse topic before too long.

The 20-year-old, who has appeared in RockNRolla and Sweeney Todd, told the BBC news website that taking part in the vampire series was "very exciting".

More news...

Michael Sheen (Lucian from Underworld movies) will be playing Aro. I'm stoked about this one. I think he is a really good actor. He can totally do Aro. Can hardly wait for this movie. :)
