I can get about 2 hours of the work portion of writing (editing, editing, editing) before my brain feels fried for the day. I've had to adjust my expectations to what I can actually do: 4 days with the fun part of writing (free writing) and 2 days d…

Hi Ms. Smithford. So, you're a Mercy Thompson fan? Me, too. You'll have to let me know what you think of book four. I'll be at the book store bright and early. :)

So *NOT* Fun.

Am posting work, "His Mate & Her (Make Believe) Boyfriend, on another site. The story has adult content, but the website is one that will publish and help you launch your work IF you post the rough drafts and the edits to the work on their website. Which, I figure is a great way to get something published. One of the memebers at the site told me that community involvement is HUGE here, and that includes reviews/critiques/it-takes-a-village-to-write-a-book mindset. I have no problem with that… Continue

This Priceless Smack Forehead Moment Brought To You By Introductions

Working on my platform, the first since April. Finally decided on the venue (Blogger) but not so decided on the links, ect. At least now I know the color schemes I want. LOL. Lordy, what a virtual decorator's nightmare!

Knowing that I'm working on my platform today I've had bits-n-pieces of stuff running through my head of what I wanted to write today, what I wanted out there for everyone to see. At one point I was absolutely certain I'd add in a nugget about the apple wood smoked bacon wrapped… Continue

The End Is The Beginning Is A Straight Path To Chocolate

My day job was dissolved today. All I could think was, "Great! More time to write!" Then reality hit: bills.

In the hours since learning the job was gone I've created lists in my head of all the things I can do in between writing or when I'm not writing and not out there looking for a new job: send out letters, sort the boxes of papers that have accumulated into a small maze, do the dishes, find out what that smell is under the kitchen sink... Lists. All more formidible than the actuality of go… Continue

A Tale of Two Families

It's images like this:

and this

make me want to write discovery style stories from the viewpoint that this is normal. Boyo! Are my fingers itching to get going on it!
LOL!

Sushi Conveyor Video Cam

I enjoy clips like the Sushi Conveyor Video Cam because I can watch it and wonder who's got the briefcase of gold and who's about to go into labor. It's eye candy for a future story. And there's just so much to see, so much to take in. Maybe the focus of my next piece isn't going to be the people sitting in front of the conveyor, but it's about how the people sitting on the couches linning the wall all relate...?
